Wedding rings can come in many shapes, size, colour and styles. If you want your wedding rings to match then think carefully about what your future husband will also be comfortable wearing. Most men do not wear jewellery so they would probably be happier with a plain wedding band. [Continued...]

Wedding Rings
The tradition of wearing a Wedding Ring is thought to date back as far as the Egyptian times. They believed the ring symbolised eternal love. It would be placed on the third finger of the left hand as it was thought a vein from the fingers lead directly to the heart.

Wedding Rings have seen there fair share of fashion trends in the same way as the wedding dress. Once upon a time couples would purchase matching plain gold bands, whereas today platinum has become increasing popular because of its durability, although titanium and silver are also commonly used.

Gemstones would typically have been found in a bride-to-bes Engagement Ring, but are not uncommon in contemporary Wedding Rings.

When choosing a ring whether it be an Engagement or Wedding Ring you need to consider whether it will be worn all the time. If such is the case it needs to be made from a hard wearing material, that does not tarnish very easily, that will be able to cope with every day knocks, as you go about your daily life. You should be looking for a ring that will last a life time.

If you do not wear jewellery very often look for a ring profile which is designed primarily for comfort. The 'Court Shape' and 'Double Comfort' profile are found to be extremely comfortable.

Look in wedding magazines and jewellery shops so you get a feel of the latest trends in ring design. If there is a particular ring design you have seen but you are unable to find it anywhere, then perhaps you should consider having the ring made.

Having your ring engraved with some words meaningful to you both will give your ring an even more personal touch.
