Many believe a wedding just isn't the same without a DJ and disco. Thats why it is so important to find the right one for your wedding. A good place to start your research would be to visit a Wedding Fayre. You will get the opportunity to see them in action.

Ask for a sample of there work so you can take itaway with you and listen at your leisure, so you can get a feel for how they work the crowd. You should enlist the services of a DJ who has had experience working at a wedding. Have in your own mind what songs/music you would like to be played at your wedding and discuss it with the DJ. They will be able to advise you on the best way to get all your guests to fill the dance floor, by offering you a wide selection of songs to meet your guests tastes. Don't forget to give the DJ a copy of your song/music which is to be used for your first dance.

DJ's can also provide lighting to help set the right tone for the evening. If possible see if they can visit your wedding venue in advance so they can familarise themselves with the location and know where they will be accepted to set up there equipment. They can also find out what facilities if any will be made available for their use. Don't be afraid to ask the DJ about there standard of equipment.
