The custom of confetti throwing is
thought to date back as far as the Pagans. Whereby guests would throw
sugar coated nuts and grains at the married couple. Although a wide
range of materials have been used to celebrate the union of a couple
such as rice, real petals, paper to plastic.
However over the years people have
fallen out of favour with the tradition of throwing confetti. An
increasing number of churches and wedding venues no longer allow the
practice due to mess, although some will allow it provided you use
biodegradable confetti.
Confetti for many people is as much
apart of a wedding as the Bride and Groom. Confetti is very versatile
and can be used in a wide range of areas to bring colour and style to
your wedding.
Take for example when used for table
decorations a light scattering of confetti would bring a touch of
colour to each of your wedding tables. Place a few in your wedding
invitations and when your guests open them they will get a nice
surprise.
With a huge choice of shapes, colours
and sizes you will be able to find just the right confetti to create
the look your after.
